Browser support

This web application requires a modern, JavaScript-enabled desktop computer browser which can display graphical images and implement style-based layout and rendering. It has been tested on modern releases of both the Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OSX operating systems.

Tax Planner Interactive is optimised for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Chrome (or Firefox if using Mac OS), which should provide the best possible user experience. However it is tested in all the major modern browsers, which are supported as far as is practical.

The application may work in part or in full on small mobile devices such as modern smart-phones. However, it is not designed to run on a mobile device and has not been tested on this type of platform.

Internet Explorer

Tax Planner Interactive is optimised for modern versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). It has been tested extensively in IE8 and higher on the Windows platform, and has also given good results in IE7.

Users may find that some versions of IE6 give acceptable performance, but this is a very old version of IE and Tax Planner Interactive is not designed to support it.

Tax Planner Interactive will not work properly in IE5 and older versions of IE.

Firefox

Tax Planner Interactive has been tested extensively in modern versions of Firefox on both the Windows and Mac OSX platforms. Apple Mac users are advised to use Firefox for optimum performance.

Older versions of Firefox may give acceptable performance, but only the current latest version is supported.

Chrome

Tax Planner Interactive is optimised for modern versions of Chrome.

Safari

Tax Planner Interactive has been tested in modern versions of Safari and found to give acceptable performance. Safari is a good choice for Apple users who do not have Firefox installed.

Some old versions of Safari have been found to give poor performance.

Opera

Tax Planner Interactive has been tested in modern versions of Opera and found to give acceptable performance overall. However, many versions of Opera have a known problem with printing which may inconvenience the user. Users may find that some pages print out better with the 'print page background' option turned off.
